Journey to myself. Taming of chaos.

‘Journey to myself’ is a process of deepening into my subconscious, into creative moment as the attempt to trace how the idea appears and gets visual image. In these artworks we can see chaos and order, light and darkness. A man here is a source of creative power of this world aspiring to reach its integrity through a woman presented in her evolution and variety of her manifestations. A woman plays numerous roles such as a wanderer, a nun, a slave, a mistress, a delicate person, and a temptress. Her love is a divine impulse, the 5th element, which serves the start to evolution. It can be seen in energetic stream of light, which spreads from her image to all parts of the composition.
There is the Circle as a symbol of integrity and unity, the tree of life represents the image connecting spirit and matter, the phoenix symbolizes eternal resurrection, the horse is a symbol of travel through the worlds, the bridge is a transfer between the states of being, the egg is a vehicle of all being and primeval chaos.
In fact, this work embodies my world to a certain extent. It looks like this at the moment. But life is constant move consequently it will develop, transform and continue aspiring to ideal, becoming the best version of itself. It means that ‘the journey to myself’ will go on in new paintings and compositions.
I believe that in this work I managed to find the images, which expressed the topic and stimulated viewers’ reflections on such crucial issues as understanding their personality, choice of their was, aspiration to constant development and importance of art in all life activities.
The series of graphic artworks was presented at the personal exhibition “Who are we?” This project was further transformed into the large-scale series of 13 oil paintings. The size of each canvas is 100х80 сm. The overall size of the project is 260х320 сm.
